Crispy Copenhagen

I love Scandinavia: the nature, its purity, the design, the people, the fresh air and the space. When you arrive in Copenhagen, it only takes you fifteen minutes from the airport to get to the city center. You will experience a mega inspiration boost. Besides the beautiful design of the city it is also a city full with magic and fairytales.

Magic Right in the middle of town is  Tivoli, a nostalgic amusement park with magical attractions. The perfect place to enjoy life and play like you did when you were little. It is the city of Hans Christian Andersen and the amusements with his fairy tales are my favorite. The park is open until late at night and it’s great to go there after a day of shopping and sniffing culture. There is also a (small) museum about the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen in another part of the city center.

Breath Once you get of the train in Copenhagen you will breathe crisp fresh air, instead of emission gases. This harbourcity is spacious and there is enough room for nature. Kongens Have is the garden at Rosenborg Castle, in the summer this is the place where locals come together. This garden is actually a whole park.  If you want to experience a sense of freedom in a different way, you could also visit the hippie village Christiania which is established in 1971 (Bådsmandsstræde 43).

Pure If I had to describe Copenhagen in one word it is PURE. The people, the design, but also the food. If you are here, the Torvehallerne KBH may not be missed. A large modern market hall with beautiful stalls full with organic delights, fresh juices, herbs, vegetables, special breads and sweets. You can buy it to take away or you can enjoy it on the spot on some wooden tables.

Inspiration Copenhagen is THE place for creative inspiration. Small shops full of original items and special design or just by looking at people on the street. The window of the store Moshi Moshi Mind says ‘Choose a positive thought’. This is vibe of the store, full with relaxed clothing items, yoga supplies, soothing tea, beautiful music and other fine items. As they say, it is for mellow modern life. In this city you can choose of many inspiring hotels. Like hotel twentyseven, which is within walking distance of the station, Tivoli and the shops.

Treat De Flødebollen of Summerbird are famous and typical in Copenhagen. The round chocolate balls with flat bottom of marzipan are available in milk chocolate with vanilla filling and white chocolate and passion fruit. Be warned: everything in this chocolate design shop is way too good!
